2025 conference to be held 22-23rd October at AgResearch Grassland Campus in Palmerston North.
We are finalising our keynote speakers - get ready to be parasitised by knowledge ;)
Our annual AGM will also be held in person during this conference.

Student conference grant
Applications for financial assistance to attend the upcoming conference are now welcome from any students with an interest in parasitology who are members of the NZSP. Applications will be considered by the NZSP Committee and must include:
A detailed budget of conference attendance (e.g. travel, accommodation, registration, etc.)
A covering letter supporting the application, which includes a statement as to what assistance has been sought and what is available
A supporting statement from the applicant’s chief supervisor or Head of Programme
Please send applications by Friday, 5th of September, to bridget.lamont123@gmail.com and decisions will be communicated by Friday 12th Septembe

Previous Parasitology Conferences
Our 51st conference was joint with the 7th International Congress of Anaerobic Protists (ICAP) & Australian Society for Parasitology (ASP) between 26th - 29th August 2024 held at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Our 50th conference and PAD were held on the 31st May - 1st June 2023 at Toitū Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin. Our AGM was held on 27th October 2023 online.
Our 49th NZSP conference, AGM and Parasite Advisory Day (PAD) were held on the 26th October 2022 at the Massey University Sport and Rugby Institute in Palmerston North.
Our 2021 AGM was held virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Our 48th NZSP conference was held on the 21st/22nd October 2020 at the Distinction Hotel in Palmerston North.
PAD was held on the 20th October at Awapuni Racecourse.
The 47th NZSP conference was held in October 2019.

Openness Agreement on Animal Research and Teaching in New Zealand
The New Zealand Society for Parasitology is a signatory on the ANZCCART Openness Agreement on Animal Research and Teaching in New Zealand and is working to fulfil the commitments of the Agreement as they apply to the society.
